CrossVegas 14

Wellen's Ridley side

The traditional Cross season opener for us is CrossVegas during Interbike. We asked the promoter of the event, Brook Watts, more questions about the race.

Bike Hugger: What do you have planned for this year?

Brook Watts: In addition to the Raleigh Ramp that we added last year, the 2 flyovers, the TRP Brake Zone barriers and 3 sets of stairs we have a Sand Pit that is new. It's a 3-Ring circus of cross.

Bike Hugger: How will CrossVegas continue to amaze?

Brook Watts: No question the course features create a great show for the spectators but the real attraction is the quality of the fields. Plus you've got the rest of the riders from 14 nations - it's an international field surpassed only by the world championships.

Bike Hugger: Tell us about the Telenet-Fidea clinic?

Brook Watts: There are a few spots left in the skills clinic hosted by Ridley with the riders from Telenet-Fidea. It will be held on the CrossVegas course at 3 pm on race day. It's free but you need to sign up at

I recommend getting to the venue early to roam around, watch the Elite Women and Men preparing and of course to cheer on the W...
